Cees Wijsman
Cees Wijsman (born 1940 in the Netherlands) works mainly in watercolour. This medium offers him the best possibilities to express his feelings about colour and clearness.

The fact that he lived and worked in Sweden for some years resulted in many Swedish landscapes, harbours and beach scenes. He exhibited his work at “Tjolöholms Slott” (2004) and "Hilmersgården" (2006), both situated in the neighbourhood of Gothenburg.

Besides paintings Cees Wijsman produces etchings and occasionally sculptures.

Cees Wijsman is educated at the Gooise Academy of Arts in Laren, the Netherlands. He also had lessons from the well known Dutch artists Bob ten Hoope and J. Ploos van Amstel.
